Full Description

Transponders with a UHF frequency band are attached to the wood packages. Once the packages are on the truck, the truck passes through a portal equipped with an RFU630 read/write device when it leaves the premises. The product‘s long range and fast data transmission allow a multitude of transponders to be registered simultaneously. Evaluation software generates a 3D model of the wood loading from the measurements of the LMS511 laser measurement system developed for the outside area and the DMT10 laser distance sensor, and calculates the volumes and lengths of the logs.

RFID Pallet Tracking in Warehouse

The Sick RFGS Pro system combines their proven solutions into a system for tracking incoming and outgoing goods within a warehouse operation. RFID labels are read into the system, tracking the direction of flow. Data can be read into the tag at the same stations, assigning shipping, destination or warehouse location.

RFID for Conveying Lines

The Sick RFMS Pro RFID system mounts directly on the conveyor line to track and trace products being picked or received into the system. This eliminates issues with orientation of the product or damaged barcodes. A volume measurement component can be added as well to aid in calculating shipping space and costs.

Sick calls their philosophy of having all technologies share common software and connectivity packages 4D Pro. By applying this philosophy, they can easily build a Track and Trace system by combining barcode scanners for the forklift and conveyor with RFID read-write systems to track all the contents of a pallet.
